ICT40215 Certificate IV in Information Technology Support aims to provide the skills and knowledge to be confident in supporting clients in a range of technical areas.  In this qualification students will learn to design and develop complex documents, provide one to one instruction to clients and staff, Connect, maintain and configure hardware components, support users and troubleshoot operation system software & ICT equipment, identify and resolve clients business requirements and ICT problems by providing first-level remote help desk support.

Potential career pathways could include; Customer Support, Help Desk Specialist, PC Support Technician, User Support (Technical)

ICT40415 Certificate IV in Information Technology Networking aims to provide the skills and knowledge required to install and manage small scale networks, either as an independent support technician or as part of a team.  In this qualification you will learn to install and manage a server, virtual machines, internet protocol networks, routers as well as manage a network and data integrity, deploy software to networked computers and how to install, operate and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch.

Potential career pathways could include; Network Support, Network Operations Support, Network Operations Technician, Network Technician or Network Support Technician.

Assessment will only be carried out for accredited training where a qualification, statement of attainment or licence may be issued.

Assessment will be carried out on the submission of completed unit/s of competency or under the RPL processes to ascertain whether the participant can be deemed ‘competent’.

Assessment evidence submitted by the student will be marked and feedback given advising whether the evidence is satisfactory (successful) or unsatisfactory (unsuccessful). Additional feedback may be provided as required. All evidence is retained by Axiom College.


Axiom College has implemented an automated system for receiving Assessments from students who do not complete their work in class or upload them via their student portal.

This is an electronic method that requires students to email all evidence. If documents are emailed with an incorrect subject line, there may be a delay in them being formally received and acknowledged.  If this happens, an email will be sent back to the student requesting they resubmit with the correct information in the subject line of the email. Assessments received correctly will have confirmation emailed to the student.


The Student Support Centre aims to deliver an integrated professional service to all students and employers. This is achieved by providing quality customer service to enhance the overall learning experience.

The Support team provides support, guidance and advice to learners and employers for any queries or online technical issues they may encounter.
