QCE? Students will receive a Queensland Certificate of Education if they graduate year 12 with a minimum of 20 QCE credits. How can you gain these credits? “Significant amount of learning”, equivalent to 5 subjects studies* (including Math & English) over year 11 & 12 with a minimum sound achievement or a combination of vocational qualifications and subjects. In most cases you can gain more from your competency based qualifications in less time than your school subjects. Axiom College can assist with your senior certificate.
ATAR? ATAR is the primary mechanism used nationally for tertiary admissions and indicates a student’s position relative to other students. It is the standard measure of a student’s overall academic achievement in relation to other students where these students have studied different subject combinations.
ATARS are expressed as a number on a 2000-point scale from 99.95 down to 0.00 in steps of 0.05. So the highest ATAR is 99.95, then 99.90, then 99.85, and so on, down to 0.00. ATARS below 30 are reported as ‘30.00 or less’.

With a minimum class size of just 10, Axiom College offers trainer led delivery onsite at your school in; Construction, Horticulture, Hospitality, Logistics and Health Support Services. These qualifications attract QCE points and provides your students with insight into industry, they can include guest industry speakers, tours & work experience.

If you are a student in Queensland in years 10, 11 or 12 then you’re eligible to complete a qualification with Axiom College’s, Axiom at School program. You can choose from a variety of exciting industry sectors and skill shortage areas. Most exciting of all is that Axiom at School qualifications can be achieved in conjunction with your senior studies and count towards your Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
Fee-Free (VETiS Funded) Qualifications

Costs vary from course to course; some of our qualifications attract no co-contribution fees at all and are identified in the table as Fee-Free (VETiS Funded) Qualifications.
Please Note – that only one VETiS funded qualification and one school based traineeship may be accessed per student in secondary education. Please submit your expression of interest via an enrolment form to access these funded classes. Please contact your Guidance Officer, VET Coordinator or Head of Senior Schooling for a form.

I did the Business Admin 3 course to help me reenter the workforce and I found the course a great way to update my skills and get back into a work mode. It took me a little bit to get back into it and I was a little confused with some early online testing, that actually wasn't meant to be used,so once I realised it was reading, trying and applying what I'd learned- I got into the course much easie r. Just check with your assessor if there are any units undergoing changes or updates. Also in some areas you may need to do a little extra research or tutorials on certain elements like Excel or PowerPoint if you have never used them before. But I think that is a useful skill to utilise too. I found the trainers/assessors were very approachable through both email and phone calls. Would be happy to recommend Axiom to my friends.

Assessment will only be carried out for accredited training where a qualification, statement of attainment or licence may be issued.
Assessment will be carried out on the submission of completed unit/s of competency. Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at Axiom College, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning. Assessment evidence submitted by the student will be marked and feedback given advising whether the evidence is satisfactory (successful) or unsatisfactory (unsuccessful). Additional feedback may be provided as required. All evidence is retained by Axiom College.
Students can submit completed assessments for marking through the online student portal or by handing to an Axiom College Trainer during face to face training.
The Student Support Centre aims to deliver an integrated professional service to all students and employers. This is achieved by providing quality customer service to enhance the overall learning experience.
